Journey Design Fees

Selcouth journeys aren't booked. They're composed.

A Selcouth journey is composed, not booked, and composition takes time — the hours spent uncovering the right stay, the table worth crossing a city for, the route that turns a trip into a story. The design fee reflects that craft. It is charged once, at the start of my work with you, and is separate from the commission earned through Fora's partner properties, so the care that goes into your journey is never rushed, and never compromised.

The Journey Design Fee

Charged once, at the beginning of my work with you. It covers the full arc of design: discovery, a bespoke itinerary built around your pace and your palate, refinement until it feels exactly right, and my care before, during, and after you travel. Some things, though, are simply a pleasure — and always complimentary.

A simple stay or cruise
Any hotel or cruise you'd like booked, handled with care and the welcome touches and upgrades available to me. No design fee.

Explored with intention: the hotels and experiences worth your time in a city, a region, or a single immersive stay. A bespoke itinerary, shaped by my own travels.

Several cities or countries woven into one seamless route, with every transfer and connection handled.

River cruises & immersion journeys.Priced as a multi-destination journey when I'm composing custom cultural programming (private tastings, gallery mornings, market visits) around your sailing. A specific sailing you already wish to book, as-is, is complimentary.

Destination Weddings & Group Journeys

The most intricate journeys of all: celebrations, milestone gatherings, and groups traveling as one. These ask for a different rhythm of planning, and a structure to match.

$1,000 retainer to begin the design.

Final design fee: 5% of total journey value (a minimum of $1,000), with the retainer credited toward it.

For examplea $40,000 celebration → a $2,000 design fee → $1,000 remaining after the retainer.

Separate from commission.Commission, paid by partner properties, compensates the booking. The design fee reflects the craft of the planning itself. The two are distinct, and both are part of working with a professional.

What it buys you.Time, taste, access, and above all else, expertise. An itinerary shaped by someone who has stood where you're going, and a single point of contact who answers when it matters most.
